Resin driveway maintenance: cleaning, moss, oil and winter
Resin driveways are low maintenance, not no maintenance. Sweep every few weeks, wash once or twice a year with a rotary surface cleaner at moderate pressure, treat moss and algae on shaded areas, and clean oil or fuel spills straight away.

Can I pressure wash a resin driveway?
Yes, with care. A rotary surface cleaner spreads the pressure evenly. A narrow lance held close to the surface can loosen stones, so keep the nozzle moving and at a sensible distance.
How do I get rid of moss and algae?
Sweep off debris, apply a biocide suitable for resin surfaces, leave it for the time on the label, then rinse. Shaded drives under trees may need treating every year.
What about oil and fuel?
Blot spills immediately and wash with warm water and a mild detergent. Petrol and diesel can soften resin if left, so do not leave them to soak in.
Can I grit a resin drive in winter?
Rock salt can be used in moderation and swept up once the ice has gone. Avoid metal shovels and blades that can scrape the surface; a plastic shovel is kinder.
