UV-stable vs non-UV resin: why it matters
UV-stable (aliphatic) resin keeps its colour in sunlight. Non-UV (aromatic) resin is cheaper but yellows and darkens over time on exposed surfaces. For any drive, patio or path that sees daylight, UV-stable resin is worth the small extra cost.

How much difference does it make to the price?
Guide figures put the upgrade at roughly £5–£12/m². Our guide prices assume UV-stable resin on exposed surfaces, so the figures you see already include it.
How can I tell which resin was used?
Ask for the product name and data sheet with the quote. A written quote should name the resin and state whether it is aliphatic (UV-stable).
